So yesterday (Sunday) I wasn’t sure what I was going to make for dinner. It was race day and so I knew I wanted something easy. The race was a 15k, just under 10 miles, which is a distance I usually run on the weekend, but there is so much more energy involved in races. So I didn’t want anything too complicated.
Turns out it didn’t matter what I planned. We lost power.
As did some 72,000 other people and businesses. I feel like this brief windstorm was unexpected. Or at least they didn’t expect it to do so much damage. Check out this YouTube video of some construction scaffolding being blown down yesterday in downtown. So needless to say I couldn’t do much cooking.
Luckily my sister made us dinner and let us stay the night so the kids could take a bath and Sid didn’t have to wear pajamas to bed.
He no longer likes to wear clothes to bed…in fact he didn’t even get dressed on Sat. When asked he says ‘nope. fine. yiper.’ Which translates to “Nope, I’m fine, I don’t need clothes cause I have my diaper on.”
Unfortunately we now have power again, so I have to continue cooking dinner. This week will be completely messed up and dinner plans will be changed because T-Ball is supposed to start and I am not really sure how that is going to work.
This kid will be celebrating his 5th birthday this weekend! Where does the time go?
