Mama Sonshine

thoughts from a mother of boys, a wife, a scientist and an artist

Who is Mama Sonshine?

My name is Dawn, I am a working mother, wife and self-proclaimed artist.  I have always loved crafts, scrapbooking, cooking, science and photography.

My oldest son, Ian, was born in March of 2010 and my second son, Sid, was born Sept. of 2012 (you can do the math on their age).  I started dating my husband in 1996 and we were married in 2004.  I am a Gemini so I have changed careers a couple of times.  I started as a massage therapist, then also became an esthetician.  That lead me back to school to become a chemist.  I realized how much I loved working in a lab and jumped careers.  However my desire to work in a lab is now over shadowed by my desire to be a stay at home mom (which we haven’t been able to figure out how to pull off yet).

Each day I struggle to balance work with home life, sometimes a ball or two gets dropped, but in the end I manage to pick them all up again.

I am new to blogging and I am still finding my way through this maze.  This is my first blog and right now a bit scattered.  I know where I want it to go and eventually it will get there.  But in the meantime I appreciate your patience with my fumblings.

  1. Dawn.
Nice to meet you.I found you through the Silhouette Challenge group. I love your Handmade Gift Exchange project. I am new to the blogger world since Oct. 2013. It would be great to connect so we can learn together, bounce ideas off each other. I am trying to build a network with bloggers in willing to be a team of cheerleaders for each other too.
