My name is Dawn, I am a working mother, wife and self-proclaimed artist. I have always loved crafts, scrapbooking, and photography. I enjoy cooking, but hate eating. I work in science by trade, with a BS in chemistry. After my second son was born I become obsessed with running and triathlons. Living the dream in the PNW.
My Family
My oldest son, Ian, was born in March of 2010 and my second son, Sid, was born Sept. of 2012 (you can do the math on their age). I started dating my husband in 1996 and we were married in 2004. I am super close to my older sister, and we do many things together. We live within two miles of each other and within four miles of our childhood home where our mom still resides. My dad and bonus mom are living the retired life in southern Utah, which means I don’t get to see them as much as I’d like to. My older brother (oldest sibling) lives with his family in CA and we get to see them a couple times a year. My husband is an only child and his parents are living the RV life. My family is the most important thing to me, and we spend lots of time with them, including cousins, aunts & uncles. I couldn’t imagine my kids growing up without that network and support group.
My Work
I am a Gemini so I have changed careers a couple of times. I started as a massage therapist, then also became an esthetician. That lead me back to school to become a chemist. I realized how much I loved working in a lab and jumped careers. I have since changed the type of research I do, no longer in chemistry. I still wonder if I will change careers again, graphic design, party planning, health and fitness, sports science, the list goes on. I keep finding new things I love to do, however, I will keep most of them as a side hustle 😉
Each day I struggle to balance work with home life, sometimes a ball or two gets dropped, but in the end I manage to pick them all up again.

Dawn.
Nice to meet you.I found you through the Silhouette Challenge group. I love your Handmade Gift Exchange project. I am new to the blogger world since Oct. 2013. It would be great to connect so we can learn together, bounce ideas off each other. I am trying to build a network with bloggers in willing to be a team of cheerleaders for each other too.
