Daily Thanks Day 9

Today I am thankful for sunshine on a cold fall day.

Here in the Pacific Northwest it rains more days than not.  Summers are wonderful, but come fall the skies cloud over and we don’t see much blue till spring.

Every once in a while we get some sunshine that breaks through the clouds.  This week we have had few sunny days with that crisp, clean feeling in the air.  So I have been thankful that we have been able to see the sun this week.

Daily Thanks Day 8

Today I am thankful for my Boppy pillow.I like that I can sit in our recliner rocker chair and nurse my baby on my lap.  This pillow sits on my lap at just the right height with the big arm rests.  My computer fits nicely on the shelf the pillow and arm rest make.  This way I can work and nurse at the same time.  Perfect for this multitasker!

I have been in no way asked to write or compensated by Boppy, the opinions in this post are all my own. Continue reading

Daily Thanks Day 7

Today I am thankful for my mom and this thingamajigy.

My mom has had this bath tub thing since my nieces were babies.  I used it with my first son, my brother used it with theirs and now I have it back.  I had my mom make a new cover for it as the previous one was falling apart.

I have one small bathroom and I couldn’t imagine where I would be able to store an infant bath tub.  So this sling-thing is perfect for bath time.  I don’t know where it came from or what brand it is, but I haven’t been able to find one like it.  Sometimes baby slips a little down towards his feet but his head is always out of the water, and he can’t roll into the water either.  The cover comes off and goes in the washing machine.

Yesterday was bath day and it reminded me how much easier this sling makes giving baby a bath.

Daily Thanks Day 6

Today I am thankful for election day.

Not only am I thankful we have the ability to make our voices heard but also because campaigning is over.  We have relied too much on making the opponent look bad instead of making ourselves look good.  I am also thankful I don’t have to read my friends negative comments about candidates on Facebook anymore.

That all being said, I am also thankful that we all have the right to say how we feel about our government without fear of persecution.
