Menu Plan Monday July 7th

I hope this Monday is preceded by a wonderful holiday weekend for everyone.

I know we had a fun exhausting weekend.  It was full of fun, friends, water and sunshine!

We spent our 4th at a friend’s house.  He lives in one of those neighborhoods where the whole block gets together to BBQ and the kids run up and down the street and in and out of everyone’s house.

My kids loved it.

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July!

Our little Historic Downtown opened a new splash pad and I took the boys to try it out on Saturday.

Water. Water everywhere!

Sunday we spent the day at my mom’s house by the pool, which meant we BBQ’d instead of whatever I had planned.

Menu Plan 7/7-7/13

Mon: Bacon Cheese Burger Sliders

Tue: Lemon Chicken Fettuccine

Wed: Bowtie Skillet Lasagna

Thr: Baked Sweet and Sour Chicken (last week carry-over)

Fri: Leftovers

Sat: Kitchen is Closed!

Sun: Loaded Chicken Alfredo Gnocchi Bake

Happy Cooking

Menu Plan Monday June 30th

Who knew one night of camping could produce so much dirt…

Since I spent Sunday resting after our little camping trip, I didn’t make it to the grocery store.  So tonight’s dinner will be nutritionally lacking, but the boys will be happy.

We camped with a bunch of friends and a camp ground really close to home.  Some of them went up Friday night, but we decided to just go up Sat morning.

The boys had so much fun.  I couldn’t keep shoes on Sid.  They got a real good soaking when we got home.  And they ate so much junk food this weekend.  ahh…good times.

Menu Plan 6/30-7/6

Mon: Mac & Cheese

Tue: Porcupines in a Skillet

Wed: Creamy Spinach Tortellini

Thr: Crock Pot French Dip

Fri: July 4th

Sat: Kitchen is Closed!

Sun: Baked Sweet & Sour Chicken with rice

Happy Cooking

Menu Plan Monday June 23rd

I thought it must be a mistake when I typed out the date for this post.

How can June be almost over?  It just begun!

Of course this past week completely disappeared for me.

I was able to by pass most major colds this winter, but come summer time I go and get bronchitis (or pneumonia).  After coughing non-stop for four days, I went to the doctor.  I decided to skip the x-ray to know what I had for sure, but he said it was one or the other.  I think I might be getting better, but I still have this horrendous cough, and I am so exhausted.

I mean, my abdominal muscles are sore, like I have been doing a week of crunches, my coughing was so bad.

So I am not really sure what happened last week, it is just kind of a blur for me. (and I am a little delirious right now, so I am not sure how this post will turn out)

This kid...

Menu Plan 6/23-6/29

Mon: Cheeseburger Wraps with tater-chips

Tue: BBQ at my mom’s house

Wed: Chicken Enchiladas

Thr: 4 Cheese Stuffed Porkchops with garlic pasta

Fri: Camping

Sat: Still Camping

Sun: Coming home from camping, so no cooking for me

Happy Cooking

Menu Plan Monday Feb 24

Remember last week when I said I was sick?

Well now everyone is sick.  I am better, but not entirely back to normal.

The hubster has had a fever since last Friday and I finally convinced him to go to the doctor.  Tonight.  On Monday.

Guess what? He has pneumonia.  He walked in and said “yeah, yeah. you were right.”

I wasn’t even gonna play the I-told-you-so-card.  But you know, I was right.

Ian is also sick, but he just has a virus.  But it has been hard on him the last couple days.  And tonight it seems like Baby Sid is coming down with it.

I find it very difficult to think about meal planning when nobody is eating.

So if I do cook this week, this is what I might be making.

Menu Plan 2/24-3/2

Mon: no plan.

Tue: Tomato Basil Parmesan Soup with Tortellini

Wed: Sloppy Joe’s with taters

Thr:  Slow Cooker Zesty Italian Chicken

Fri: Leftovers

Sat: Kitchen is closed

Sun: Sunday night roast ~ probably pork

Happy Cooking
